In general, two to three feet. If you know me well enough and I mean, very well, you can drape on me. But for a bit. After a while, I'll get up and disappear for some alone time. Like when my nephew was a toddler I could not sit down. The moment I did he would look at me like he was thinking, "You have made your legs into a chair! I shall sit down on them." And he did so. Every time. After a while I thought it was funny. He would even come running from other rooms to sit on my lap because he heard me plop down on the couch.
