My point was that happiness is probably more important than creativity.

Maybe I'm wrong. In that case, I'm sure OP can find something to be gloomy about: Climate change? Rising utility bills? Political corruption? All the things that can go wrong with their childrens' future? The fear that they may actually have to be sad to write?
