"Enjoy being happy," is unkind?

Well, I guess it is, if you only find true happiness in writing, and you've been settling for a mere "happy place in your life." In which case, I was carefully sowing the seeds of angst so OP could have something to mope about.

Otherwise, it works on a surface level. :D

Pretending that you didn't say "You were probably only bringing your readers down, anyway." doesn't really work because people can still read what you posted and they know damn well that it was an unkind thing to say, even if you're going to be disingenuous about it.

On second thought, that probably wasn't helpful.

I don't know. I've barely written anything for months myself, so I'm projecting some of my own feelings. It just doesn't seem like it's worth writing if my writing isn't worth anything to other people.
