You can't really 3D print something out of a medium that can't be extruded or fused, though. Unless there's some sort of plastic or epoxy out there that has similar qualities to marble.

That's just one side of 3D printing though. Making something from nothing.

I suspect we'll soon be able to do the opposite. Start with a block of material, carve/blast out the unwanted parts for the same effect.
