tried that too. she refused to accept that the other church was a true following of the religion because they were too liberal and any church that accepted homosexuality would never be truly devout in her eyes

Honestly...this is going to sound really harsh but...maybe just leave her be.

If she's as devout as you say, she's very unlikely to kill herself since suicide was viewed as a mortal sin for so long.

And if you can't help her and she's making your life miserable, it might be best to just cut her off.

i talked to her about suicide and you're right, she said suicide was a sin so she wouldn't do it. i still worry about other things she might do. even if it's waste away and die
