Text: I wish I didn’t find well-written RPF more impressive than other similarly well-written fanfic. A lot of times, the characters are basically fancast OCs with references thrown in, especially in AUs!
I’m ok with liking both!
But why the hell am I more easily impressed by RPF? Subconscious condescension? Props for authors being able to handle the different nature of RPF fandom?

I liked Australia's song too. I found this year's Eurovision to be underwhelming. There weren't many songs I really liked and I'm rather neutral on Sweden's winning song. Fingers crossed for more spectacle next year!

That's interesting, I'm the opposite. Opal and Sugilite are cool but fusing as a form of romance creeps me out. I'd never want to 'absorb' the body and identity of my SO, I'd rather appreciate them externally. :X

I honestly don't get why it is rude to say why you don't like a pairing and/or storyline. I've seen this opinion a couple times in regards to this particular storyline. Someone on my flist actually got super upset about people not liking the Bruce/Natasha storyline.

Why not say you think Clint/Natasha is boring outloud? That's not rude at all. That's stating your opinion. Now if you insisted that it was canon that it was boring, that no one could possibly like it, or just went out of your way to make things difficult for Clint/Natasha shippers, that would be rude. But just saying you don't like a ship is not rude.

And yes, I disliked most of Natasha's storyline in AoU for many reasons, only a few of which had anything to do with Bruce/Natasha. And I don't think it is rude to say so.
