:C

Are there movements for statue of limitations to be abolished or increased?

We only had ours removed recently and only in relation to child sex but it's a start...I think they just started looking into it for disabled abuse thanks to recent events... (for my state, dunno about the others)

Even if there is, and the statute of limitations is abolished tomorrow in their state, I think it still falls into a sort of legal limbo. That said, because charges were not filed (?), it's possible if the limitations are abolished/extended, the victims who did not legally charge him beforehand could now. I'm not really sure how it would work. It depends on the state in question.

Even if it is removed, it can't be retroactive. So it would only apply to cases that happened after the statute of limitations was removed.

I thought this was the case, but wasn't sure.

I think PA made their child rape laws retroactive in reaction to the Sandusky case.
