You seem to hate fun. Like, you take something that's meant to be enjoyable, and sap all of the enjoyment out of it in the name of being incredibly pretentious about entertainment.

I see it as the other way around. Fun is the freedom to crack-ship what you like without regard to arbitrary standards and authority. Ship and let ship.

And to think all these years I've been crack-shipping up a storm without feeling the need to argue that canon doesn't matter!

It matters in this discussion since the idea is that an actor's opinion makes an anti-ship more reasonable given the lack of canon.

And, well, even if the character were to break the fourth wall and lecture the viewer regarding the evils of a ship, it really doesn't matter.
