It's possible that this is what most people do if their living situation hasn't really changed for most of their life. But if it has changed then there's the opportunity to update and change preferences *shrugs*

I didn't think I was arguing against that? The thing is MOST people don't really change their living situation. Most people are born, grow up, live, and die all in the same area.

Growing up around white guys and living your whole life surrounded by white guys are two totally different things. I think I was confused by your wording.

This is very much not true, at least in America, these days.

Actually internal migration in the US has been in decline since the 1980s. Most people really do remain within their general locales throughout their lives.
