So now two cousins just a few years older than me have been diagnosed with breast cancer. They're sisters, so getting the damn things chopped off now would probably be an overreaction. (The 'damn things' being the boobs, not the cousins, hopefully obviously.) I should definitely look into starting mammograms early, though, I think.

Yeah, maybe. Definitely mention it to your doctor so it's in your medical history, and consider getting tested for that breast cancer gene. Before you do that, there's no use panicking.
