Same. I really thought they were going to kill him and move on to the sagas about his sons.

Oh well.

Maybe this is foolish of me, but for a bit I thought he was dead for real. And it would've been a great place to kill him, what with the whole "wanting to join Athelstan" storyline. While I DO enjoy Ragnar vs Floki (it's something different and gave us that wonderful speech from Floki about loving and hating Ragnar) and look forward to seeing where that goes, a part of me thinks Ragnar should've died. (However, I think he's a goner next season. Not sure they can put his death off that much longer, and with the insane time skips in this show I imagine all of his kids will be adults and ready to lead the series.)

As for Ragnar vs Rollo, yea, they've played that hand a few too many times. At this point I'm just rolling my eyes at Rollo and laughing as he betrays his brother yet again.

This. Ragnar needs to wise up about Rollo. Bro has had too many chances now.

Also, the writers need to learn how to plot in advance instead of making things up as they go along.

Well, I like Rollo more now than I did at the start of the series, but honestly...yea, Ragnar probably should've cut Rollo loose a long time ago. "But he's family," I understand that, can't even fault him for feeling that way, but... Rollo is one of those people who is never going to be happy with being #2. If he can one up Ragnar, he's going to. They weren't really meant to co-exist peacefully.

The writers probably have a vague idea of where they want to go, but it does seem like they make up a lot of the details as they go along. Maybe they even have some specific things they want to do, but the show is sometimes so disjointed that I have difficulty believing they plan too much out ahead of time.

OH MY GOD, YES. I am so tired of Ragnar. So. Tired.
