Write what you know, and unfortunately many teenaged fic writers today know nothing except frothing screaming about SJW issues and think that fanfic has to have some sort of statement in it. It can't just be a fun story with familiar characters, because that isn't serious enough for them.

Apparently one protagonist sending another away so that only one person has to risk their life is a kaiju movie trope, though, so I let them off the hook for that.

I think it's still fine to like it, I suspect there might come a time when its not shown though, that tends to be what happens with media after these sorts of scandal.
In Britain you can be tried for historical sex abuse, I find it so strange how you can't in the U.S but I understand this means Cosby won't be tried.
Anyhow point is the men who've been imprisoned, well their work is never seen again. Gary Gltiter and Rolf Harris being cases in point.
