(Anonymous) 2015-06-06 09:50 pm (UTC)(link)And then the sequels came out. Not only did they have a different cast but the scripts read like something churned out during a last minute all nighter, not the finely honed epics that Lucas had promised them to be.
So it was a combination of feeling bait and switched and having a massive case of expectation let down.
