Well, I still think people took that movie way more seriously than they were meant to. It just seemed like a fun, cliche action story to me? The characters were all forgettable (I couldn't tell the guys apart for most of it), but it was enjoyable for the explosions and giant monsters/robots. That's it, really.

Yeah, it definitely was a good popcorn movie for me. Shallow and fun.

Same. This movie is 80's tribute cheese and I love it, but I'm not going to go on and on about how the Wives have some magical persona that makes them a hundred times more awesome than Max or Nux.

Dear lord I love Pacific Rim but agreed on not being able to tell 3 of the main characters apart. YOU ALL LOOK IDENTICAL.
