Technically, anything that kills biological, living things is an anti-bio-tic.
Same way that any chemical medicine is chemo-therapy.
Who cares for the name of that thing as long as it is the right medicine and it works?

No, that's true. Antibiotics as a class of medicine kill bacteria and nothing else.

Er, no. Otherwise a gun would be an antibiotic. Jeffrey Dahmer would be an antibiotic. Diseases also =/= antibiotic. The meaning of words are more than simply breaking down and misunderstanding the sum of their parts.

Nope. Pharmacy person here. If you're trying to kill parasites like tapeworms or pinworms, those are called anthelmintics, not antibiotics.

Chemotherapy is specifically for the treatment of cancer.
