See, I love Hardy. Love him. But, yeah, I didn't like how he played Max. It made me miss Gibson even more. Hardy's Max was more like a stray mutt. There was something wounded and gunshy about him. Gibson's Max was an insane hermit. (At least in the second and third movie.) He was very much human. Just happened to be crazy. And I missed that aspect.
