But my question is, should we really have to "distinguish" between babies/toddlers? Short of grammatical convenience when discussing them, I don't think they need to be treated differently. And subconsciously or consciously, they are.

I wouldn't refuse to tell my child or others what their sex is or anything, but I plan on dressing my future babies in blue, pink, and gender neutral colors regardless of gender, because I don't think girls and boys should be treated differently.

Let me copypast, if you don't mind. It's about pronounces abd calling others a girl/ a boy.
I heard parents telling kids to say hello to a girl who turned out to be a boy and wise wersa.

So what? You only care about people misgendering children because you are conditioned to care.

You were conditioned to care because people around you put importance on the differences between genders (even though most of those differences are either a) made up social conventions b) exaggerated or c) inconsequential).

It's not a big deal if someone accidentally thinks a female toddler is a male toddler. The child themselves probably isn't going to care either unless they've been taught to care by overzealous relatives- particularly the kind who think pink is "for girls" and blue is "for boys".

My future children will wear whatever color they fucking well please regardless of how it is gendered.
