It isn't evil, but it isn't necessary. First off, I don't think it is super important to distinguish, and second I think that parents should vary the colors their children wear until their children develop tastes of their own and then take their cues from the child's taste. Forcing young children into pink/blue does socialize them to think those colors are gendered.

Eh, I'm mostly talking about pink. I don't really know how they shaped my life. Pink is the easier topic.
I don't think boys shouldn't cry, etc.
