I just got back from visiting there! I wasn't thrilled by the French Quarter, either. It smelled like beer and barf. My partner and I spent most of our time admiring the architecture and graveyards of the Garden District. I wish I could have taken teenaged you on the awesome graveyard tour we went on!

RIGHT!?! I couldn't get over the smell. I've been to cities all over the world, New York, Paris, London, Prague and New Orleans was the only one that smelled like that. That's what made me think, "This is a frat house."

Aw, I would have loved a graveyard tour.
