Yes very true. I avoided mentioning OCs in the comment since it's such a wank starter, but it certainly applies to this too.

In my opinion a good critique should tell people how to do the best with what they have not "stop writing" Honestly "stop writing" is the biggest cop out I can think of , usually from people who want to complain but don't have much constructive to add.

I've heard of it, sometimes from people with religious objections to slash. So much secondhand embarrassment especially being a Christian myself. "it said slash in the SUMMARY FFS" "BACK. BUTTON."
