I watched the pilot.

And, well, at least the characters are pretty. Now, I've got a fairly well-developed suspension of disbelief, but even the most pseudo of pseudoscience needs to be grounded - something needs to feel real. I can go along with the whole "stitching" into a recently dead person's memories (especially since there have been shows based around finding out things from the dead with much weirder methods), but the way they rush it along, without even really explaining the basics before they have her do it, just seems really wrong, even with the time crunch. Plus, there's the coyness about the agency name, the academic suspension without much evidence (beyond the lead's antagonistic attitude, which I feel like the other characters who know her should be used to), the stupid argument between Kirsten and Cameron when they meet, and the contrived means to get them all to work together. I wanted to like it because it has actors I like from Warehouse 13 (Allison Scagliotti) and Eureka (Salli Richardson-Whitfield), but I'm really not sure I can.
