She just gave me this look like HDU, but she's also said things along the lines of, "If my sons were gay it'd be hard to accept." etc.
I was glad when a fellow co-worker (who has two kids of her own) backed me up there by saying that she didn't give a flying leap what sexuality her kids were, as long as they were happy, because that meant she'd done her parental duties right."

Good on your other co-worker though! And good that you were able to speak up too. I've had situations at work where people above me have said awful things that I really couldn't openly disagree with because it could hurt me professionally, and that sucks. :/
