(Anonymous) 2015-06-08 02:41 am (UTC)(link)Seriously, even in movies supposedly marketed towards women, no one wants to make even the whiniest, schlubbiest manchild in the potential audience feel like he is maybe not entitled to any woman he wants. Having the male lead be successful/passionate/not a lump might rock the boat.
