That's strange, practically every R-rated 2D/Murdoc fic I've found on both FF.net and AO3 is full of dubious consent (of the classic seme/uke trope variety), violent sex, or Murdoc just full on raping 2D. Unless that's not really what you're looking for when it comes to twisted dynamic?

Tumblr has a pretty big Gorillaz fandom and yet it's all full of domestic type fluff which I honestly don't get since...Murdoc almost killed Noodle...Kidnapped, 'triggered', and beats 2D on what looks like a daily basis...And seems a tad too insane to be their brooding Mr. Darcy.

I mean I wouldn't mind in character humor to lighten up the mood, coupled with thrills and chills to fuel the plot away from the blasted 'mundane AU'.

The tumblr side of Gorillaz is a hole that loves to woobify and downplay how awful Murdoc actually is, along with making literally everything about the series fit into their SJW ideals and headcanons. I don't think you should bother there.
