I just meant that even though I wouldn't choose to save my family over a bunch of other people, that doesn't mean I'm not selfish in other ways.

Yea...maybe this says something fucked up about me as a person, but I'm somewhat surprised to see that we're about the only people to mention suicide. (Or maybe I'm just thinking too thoroughly about this hypothetical question.) This would be such a traumatic experience that I can't imagine it not breaking me in some irreparable way though.

Quite honestly I think a lot of people would become suicidal after making a decision like that, even if they're not considering it right now (or haven't said so because it doesn't seem relevant).

And I don't know that I'd actually go through with it but I'm sure I'd be thinking about it.
