I hated season 2 as much as I loved season one. Not surprised it was cancelled, but it would have been interesting to see where they went with another season.

I loved this mess too, OP! I even liked S2, for the most part. So fucked up, and yet, so engaging. Plus, the soundtrack!

I wanted to like this show, but couldn't. I think I watched about five or six episodes before I jumped ship, when the only character I truly liked died.

It had potential, but I was not feeling it.

Not happy its been canceled, but I didn't even realize it was getting a second season...

Yep, getting people to stick with Helix past that character's death in 1x05 is the hardest part. My sister bailed at the same point.

To me, Helix is similar in a way to S1 of Fringe-- if you make it far enough into the first season for the mythology elements to start coming together, you're more likely to stay with it and see how those unfold. For Helix it's episodes 1x07-8, where the family arc starts to develop, and when the show gains some much-needed new characters from outside the base (Anana and Tulok; Constance Sutton).

It was the fifth episode? I did watch one or two more episodes then, but without that character I couldn't bring myself to care about what was going on. Maybe the story went somewhere cool after that, but up to that point I wasn't invested in it.

Maybe I should give it another shot.

... Doubt I ever will, just saying maybe I should.

I just caught up on season 2 (after watching season one as it came out I decided to wait until all of season two was done before watching), and I agree.

Not just because as crazypants as it was, it was interesting, but because cancelling it where they did made me seethe with the amount of unanswered questions that got left.

Sarah made me so angry though.

I mean, SHE GOT LOCKED IN A ROOM WHERE THE DOOR WAS BASICALLY MADE OF GLASS. JUST SMASH THE FUCKING DOOR WTF YOU STUPID BIMBO!

Because it was terrible. Absolute garbage. Sorry OP, if you liked it you liked it, but the quality was just bad in every sense of the word.

I realize not all bad shows get cancelled, but this was just bad enough that I think mostly everyone agreed that it didn't deserve another season.
