If they were still serving, they would never have been allowed to become part of any international special teams unit. Fighting alongside other nations in WWII was A-OK, when the situation called for it, but task forces were out of the question.
When you have a regime to keep up, you tend to want to keep your troops close and closed-minded.

(Anonymous) 2015-06-09 01:54 am (UTC)(link)I guess I thought it'd be cool if they had a liaison on the Eastern Front that was a Soviet soldier. Someone who would provide them with info and rendezvous with them before going back to a Soviet unit once the mission was complete.
