I agree. WTF? Everyone hates FF9. I personally like it, but it's generally hated within FF fandom.

I've had a lot of people claim to me that it's not as awesome because Tetsuya Nomura didn't design 9's characters. Personally, that doesn't have any effect on my gaming experience, but to each their own. I love the characters in 9! Although I admit the final boss was very WTF.

Nomura has only done the designs for FFs VII, VIII, X, and Kingdom Hearts though, right? :/ FFVI is probably the third most loved FF after VII and X and the characters were designed by Amano, who also did IX's character designs. So the people saying that are just grasping at straws looking for something not stupid to say.

And yes, they kind of failed at finding something not stupid to say. XD Another excuse I hear all the time is that the game had no plot, which I don't agree with. It just got very screwy right toward the end. They never really did bother to explain why Dagger's pendant was so important, etc. I'm assuming it had to do with the crystal, but... *disolves into incoherent rambling*
