I heard about it before it happened, so I'm not sure what I was expecting. But, I thought the moment was overdone. Like, I couldn't believe she didn't shoot him way earlier than she actually does. And, I can't believe he just kept pushing like he does. He seemed so insecure. And, it seemed like they were really pushing his assholishness to make it really certain it was okay to kill him off (though I'd been ready for that for awhile). It didn't feel realistic at all (or at least as realistic as the rest of the show goes for).

I thought the last episode was a bit of a hot mess but I enjoyed last season overall.

Yea, I fully expected her to shoot him earlier too (but hadn't been spoiled for that moment so wasn't sure, although her doing so made the most sense for her character).

Like, dude just wouldn't give up. I'm not sure if I find it unrealistic for his character, but it still managed to surprise me when he kept on pushing.

Anyway, I loved Fish, she was one of the best things about Gotham so I hope she isn't dead.

I'm actually okay to see her go, at least as a main regular. You can definitely see the extension of their season in her arc. I thought the Dollmaker arc was interesting but it also felt like a road to nowhere, which made her character feel a little pointless at the end. It's why the last episode seemed to be a bit of a mess. They just skip over what happened between her escape and her arrival, and they don't give her the room to really put a good plan in motion. Her character felt a little like a loose end, where everyone else had moved on to other storylines.

Then again, I'm not a huge fan of the mob/Penguin storylines. The only thing I really liked was her relationship with Butch. I felt so sad for him at the end. With Penguin, he's probably safe from being tortured again but the fact that he's turning against Fish hurts him so much. He was so torn. That was really sad.

IA about the end of the season being a bit of a mess, but I'm not sure I feel that other characters had better resolutions to their storylines. At least not many of them. I don't think the show gave itself enough time to finish things up, and find it ridiculous that we spent so long watching Fish try to escape only to see Penguin push her off a building. If she dies after all that, I'm going to be unimpressed.

(I guess it works in a way because it furthers Penguins story, but Penguin has had plenty of spotlight, so. Oh, and Fish/Butch was one of the few relationships I was really invested in, so that last scene got me. Poor Butch. Poor Fish.)

I actually couldn't stand her (which was at least partly intended, the way her character was written), but you can't say that anywhere. Because for some reason, a character who is just as much a terrible person and a criminal as the others becomes a saint above and beyond all criticism if they're female and a POC.
