I do feel that way about a lot of books, but I admit it's much more difficult to do with contemporary work. I generally don't like "preaching" in stories anyway, no matter how subtle, especially if it boils down to some political issue. But classics get away with it by being old, idk.

ANYWAY, disfuctional tag teams give me life, and theirs was def my fave of those I've seen. And, yeah, they were rather shippy, weren't they. I mean, a hug it out match, group therapy, Kane being super protective of Daniel and being hurt when Daniel betrayed him? That ship was sailing the seven seas, yo.

Text: Years ago, I’d been putting off watching any Monty Python movie because of low motivation. But I fully intended to, just to see what the fuss was/is about.

Then I met one annoying guy who liked them and was annoyingly proud of it. I put it off again. Then I met another one. Though he wasn’t as bad, I still reset my counter.

I no longer have to be around either of them. But the taint of association still makes me reluctant to go near those movies.

was anyone NOT happy (or at least neutral) when she shot him? he was kind of an asshole even aside from the sexism thing. he was also kind of boring imo and not a very compelling antagonist, so I'm not sorry to see him go

When I find out celebrities whose work I respect did things I personally judge as wrong, but not beyond my arbitrary “too much harm” limit, I get stuck in a moral limbo. I’ve accepted that, but wouldn’t want other people to know about it.

I look at both the unabashed fans and the disgusted people (not only callout-happy SJWs) and think:
“I see what you mean. I still kinda like them. But let’s not forget that was bad. And I honestly wish they’d apologise/do more self-flagellating. Yet, I am cold enough to not have it in me to have a gut reaction against them. Cheers.”
