I don't find it funny in general, but I remember cracking up at "Benedryl Cabbagepatch"

Benedryl Cabbagepatch is a good one.

Sometimes I like to add Cucumberpatch to the end.

(This whole meme is silly but it still amuses me because I have a dumb sense of humor.)

It's a pretty dumb meme, but its existence still makes me a bit happy because I like it when "foreign sounding" names aren't the butt of this joke for once ("Shyamalan" is too complicated for you? Come on)

I don't think the joke would exist if it wasn't for the M. Night part, and also if M. Night Shymalan wasn't so very M. Night Shymalan.

Also, it's not racist. Also, Shymalan isn't actually too complicated for people any more than Cumberbatch is. Some names are just funny.

I agree that it is pretty racist in general when non-white names are treated that way, so while I still think it's mostly lame, at least it's a white actor with an ethnic English name who is getting it this time.

But his name is foreign sounding. It's overly English. Like super posh English. So upper crust that his family tree doesn't branch and he bleeds blue.

What was worse was the whole race bending thing, where people were decrying the white-washing of 'The Last Airbender' while making fun of Shyamalan's name.

Even if they weren't doing it out of racism, it sure made them look like a bunch of hypocrites.

I'm not a native English speaker. Benguiat Crispy's name sounds as foreign and exotic as they come to me.

Nor do I. My personal favorite is Bennyhill Churchmusic.

I prefer Bennyhill Chumbawumba, but to each their own.
