That and the incredible chemistry he has when working with his former Shield buddies. Working with them again, crowds remember what they used to love best about him. And apart from the fact that he is genuinely getting better and better, working with familiar partners lets him play up what he is best at.

I'm SO glad someone in Creative (Jimmy Jacobs, is that you?) realized that he relaxes so much when Seth and Dean are in the picture. No stupid beanstalk stories, no stilted bluster, just a guy interacting with two people he has great chemistry with. Even if he turns heel (I hope he won't, but it's wrestling) I think he and Dean could continue to bring the awesome together (Dean's reaction to being betrayed by Roman would be SO INCANDESCENT, I'm not sure my retinas--or my heart--could handle it).

Also, I have never seen a human being look so damn hot when beaten up and laughing. I feel like a bad person saying that, but DAMN.

I don't WANT it to happen, but imagining Dean's complete and total solitude (yes, in this scenario J&J would have to go to Kane, not him); how he'd play a one-man-against-the-world, fuck-it-I'm-going-out-in-a-blaze-of-glory reaction makes me go weak in the knees. HE WOULD BE SO BEAUTIFUL. BUT I DON'T WANT HIM TO LOSE ROMAN.

What if Roman's betrayal opens it back up for Seth and Dean to fall back in with each other? BECAUSE Dean said they were the same kind of scum and they each know EXACTLY what the other is about now, so there will be no surprises this time. Can't sneak up and knife a man in the back twice. The enemy of my enemy is my friend, especially if he is a former friend who Seth obviously still has feelings for, and Dean might just be weak enough to let Seth back in...

Not gonna lie, I'd be there for that too. :) Especially if Seth has been abandoned by the Authority (if the Authority enlists Roman it'll light up every side of wrestling fandom--some people will hate him for selling out, others will hate him for confirming what they've always known, that he's the Hand Picked Chosen One) I could totally see them banding together for a time again.

BTW, I really hate the "IWC" dislike of Roman for being "pushed too hard" (I admit he was rushed, but back off, people)--and I would really love if both Seth AND Dean held the heavyweight title before he did. Some of his laughter when fighting Brock and stalling the Authority to give Dean time to come back to me has a sort of shoot level of "God damnit, everyone hates me for being the anointed one, and here I am getting the shit kicked out of me and I'm going to be the LAST member of the Shield to be champ."

God, there was some article about Roman getting pushed hard for MITB and will it be a repeat of Royal Rumble and I'm just like FUUUUUUCK YOU. He's playing a friend role right now and is not even really in the title picture, unless he wins, WHICH ISN'T A GIVEN. (I'm kinda thinking Kofi might?)

But, man, if he turns heel the fandom will flip and I kind of want to see that. It'd be mini-Shield reunion times a million.

Also, yeah, I can totally see Roman laughing with blood on his teeth as sort of self-deprecating in that way.

I WOULD NEVER TALK YOU OUT OF THIS NEVER NEVER. You could...you could make it a different series if wanted? Or you could just say "Look, for you wrestling gen fans, um, just stick with the early sections of this story?"

NGL again, I finished watching Raw last night and one of my first thoughts (after I stopped dying over how much I love Dean Ambrose) was "Oh, this is going to derail Fingal's story! BUT IT COULD DERAIL IN SUCH NICE WAYS." \o/

Oh lol. That's sweet. So, after Raw LAST WEEK, I'd already started writing a depressed!Jamie (featuring an angry!Joey) fic, but I kind of figured I wouldn't finish it because Smackdown gave me no reconciliation to build to and it made me sad. But, then Raw last night inspired me again because I now have a BREAK-UP to write towards (and I was pleased -well, not pleased, but you know what I mean - to see I predicted Joey's anger and Jamie's desperation turning into resignation that time he couldn't fix this.)

AND DAMN IT YOU ARE NO HELP. Corpus was so miserably humid and depressing and it's the perfect setting for the beginning of the end of Shield 2.0 leading to sweaty, desperate hotel sex between sad people who where spurned by the one they love.

Sigh. Maybe I'll do it gen and do it shippy and see which one works.

That's an IWC thing I really dislike. Blame creative for premature pushes, not the poor guys who are being told to take on roles that their characters aren't ready for.
