RDJ has done LOADS of interviews and his bullshit radar went off with this guy. The intent of the interview was to do a rather simple interview mostly talking about the film he was promoting. Instead, the interviewer throws him all these personal questions that had nothing to do with the agreed intent of the interview. The interviewer knew exactly what he was doing, and that was a complete dick move on his part. He got the reaction he wanted, and then posted it online trying to make it seem like RDJ is a jerk just to get the 10 minutes of attention he wanted.

How would you like it if for your job you thought you were going to talk to a person about the work you have been working on, but instead the person starts asking you a bunch of questions about your personal life that has nothing to do with your work?

Also, the interviewer was really clumsy and terrible at it. There are some interviewers who could have pulled it off in a subtle and sensitive way (not that they should, in that context). But he wasn't one of them.

He was bull-headed, and arrogant when confronted. He just honestly came across as legitimately bad at his job. He's no Paxo.
