Does RDJ ever come across as SUPER insecure to anyone else?

Like, whenever I watch him, it just seems like he NEEDS everyone to love him.

Maybe I'm reading into it but it always seems like he's trying so hard to be cool and appealing and for me it just kind of goes to desperate.

Anyone else ever get that impression?

I should be a little more specific: He has a sordid past and he used to skip out or forgot to show up for many, many roles because of his drug addiction. He was super talented but very troubled and acted very unprofessionally. He was like Amy Winehouse, always had bad press for years on end. It seems like he's trying hard not to bite the hand that feeds him.

I wonder how people would react if they remembered how much he supports Mel Gibson because they are friends. Would they support Mel too? They aught to forgive him too since they've forgiven RDJ.

Actors are needy, and want attention. It's often a narcissistic personality that draws them into it.
I think lots of them come across this way.
