Really? I haven't watched in about ten years or whatever, and dude was awful at the mic despite his popularity. It's nice to know he has gained since by now.

It probably depends on how you define mic skills, to be honest. He hasn't changed much, but I'd say he's gotten very skilled at grabbing the energy of the crowd, be it positive or negative, and transforming and channeling it. Like, his introduction of Sami Zayn in Montreal. The crowd was crazy to see Sami and booing him at first, and he turned all that energy around by pointing out all the ways Montreal epitomizes "Never give up." He picked out a guy wearing a Nordiques shirt and was like "That team left in 1996, but he hasn't given up! None of you do!" By the end of the speech they were cheering, because he made it about cheering their own spirits, not cheering him. It's not everyone's cup of tea, but he's good at what he does.
