Sounds like you're the one taking it too seriously.

Like, how people see the term depends on context, which is what everyone is talking about. If you only ever see it used by people who are bashing other ships, you're not gonna like the term. If you only ever see it used by people who take things super seriously and are trying to deflect, you're not gonna like the term. It's really simple and not that big a deal.
