That's what words like minority used to mean. "Anyone not in the dominant race or culture"

White people are a minority in Asia. Black people are a minority in Europe. Asian people are a minority in America

What a useful word that we've decided to ignore

Minority doesn't just mean numbers, though. Minority vs. majority also means oppressed group vs. privilege. And white people have privilege worldwide, though it may work out differently in non-western places. But they are no where in the world the oppressed or powerless group.

White people really really like to believe that but trust me in places like mainland China that is not true

They get treated better than black people or brown people but to say they are privileged or equal to han Chinese is so, so wrong

White people in China are comparable to Chinese people in the US, now that I think on it

Neither are as oppressed as other minorities, both of them have "model minority" status though not without bunch of other negative stereotypes and racial bias, both of them are preferred for certain jobs, like PR/business for white people in China and tech for Chinese in the US. But to claim both are dominant or equal to the dominant races in their respective countries is laughable

Or Japan. There is a lot of overt racism/xenophobia against anyone non-Japanese, and while it might not be as bad for a white person as it is for a black person, it still very much exists.

I know, I've spent time there. There are places you're not even allowed to go/things you can't do if you're a gaijin.
