Chocolate does not go with fruit. They're sweet, but they're different kinds of sweet.

On a related note, it was a mistake to put chocolate in the American version of Neopolitan ice cream. Pistachio would go much better with strawberry.

Thank you! I've been living my whole life with people looking at me weird for hating the taste of chocolate covered fruit & chocolate cakes with fruit in/on them.

And that's my sob story of the day.

Yes indeed to the first. Chocolate and fruit is so nasty.

Absolutely no to the second. Neapolitan is my favorite ice cream, and I don't want any Pistachio mixed up in there.

going to double that on cake, snack ( especially biscuit ) etc.
my own opinion, but hey maybe that could change, i think.

For me, it depends on the fruit. Bananas and chocolate are great but I hate raspberries (actually, most berries) and chocolate. With cherries, it depends on the way it's prepared. Most other fruits I'm pretty meh about in combination with chocolate.

Something I will never enjoy in chocolate is chilli. I hate this whole "Chillie and chocolate" hype. It's super disgusting.
