Curious now, would you be okay with hunting for eating AND clothing? Because for centuries, my ancestors did both. Sport hunting in my area isn't as bad as other places either, because nine times out of ten, they share the meat out in the community, if they don't eat it themselves, and just want the rack and/or trophy.

Yes. If you are hunting for eating first, using the rest of the animal for food is okay. I'm just not okay with things like leather or animal testing for cosmetics. Which mostly isn't hunting per say. Hunting-wise, my problem is mostly with sport hunting where there is no discernable legit purpose other than fun. I don't think killing another living being for fun is okay (and really I don't think one should enjoy killing a living being anyway).
