How much of the movie is actually dedicated to raptor dude? I forgot to make a secret, but he's being a huge turn off for me. Like, major-might-wait-for-tv-instead-of-cinema turn off.

Oh. Well, he's there a lot, though there are large chunks without him. She's really more of the main character than he is, though, and the two kids as well. And really, the movie isn't about the humans so much as it is the dinos.

But if you really hate him that much, you may want to wait. I for one love Chris Pratt.

I just don't like his face :c /judgementaaaaal

What kind of character did he play? Who's 'she'? The kids were alright for once you said?

Spoil me, who saves the day? Does scientist lady get to be bad ass or does Chris save the day?

Bryce Dallas Howard. She has a very cliche'd arc in the movie about going from being really uptight to being able to show emotion and not have to plan everything. But she was still fun to watch and got a few moments of being badass.

The kids were not annoying, and I generally always find kids annoying.

They both save the day and yet also neither do. His raptors start fighting the designed dinosaur, then she goes and gets the T-Rex. Then the water dinosaur finishes off the designed dinosaur.

So the real hero is water dinosaur. Good soundtrack?

Do the raptors ever disobey him? I think that's the most story-breaking thing I'm having issues with, that they're essentially lethal obedient dogs.

The music isn't Williams good, but it is very, very good.

The raptors are still raptors. He's just gotten them to accept him as alpha. But at one point, the designed dinosaur, who has raptor dna in it, communicates with them and gets them to turn on the humans. Then he is able to eventually reclaim his role as their alpha.

But there is one scene early on even where someone falls into the raptor area and he is able to get that person out but has to run out himself before the raptors attack. So they are still very much raptors, they just follow his lead to a certain extent.

~alpha~ lol, sounds suitably cheesey. I shall think on it.

Also I saw this and thought of this thread:
