There's a difference between "dumb shit" and being repeatedly racist and actively hurting trans, POC and mentally ill people. Try reading the interviews of people who've worked with her. POC and little people were saying they've never felt so used and degraded.

Now tell me she isn't hurting anyone.

Miley is actively taking advantage of a racist system and crushing woc with it.

When a brown girl twerks, it's gross and nasty. When Miley twerks, she becomes the queen of twerking.

To be totally fair, most actual people thought her twerking was repulsive too, and that she looks silly trying to be something she's not. You're equating media coverage with popular opinion, and that just isn't true at all.
