Wow, Stannis and his army got fucking destroyed. But I was really hoping he'd live long enough to fully realize that he burned his daughter alive for NOTHING. But I am glad that Ramsey was not the one to kill him. Fucking Ramsey. Theon and Sansa, meh. Hope they survive.

The Dorne storyline was completely pointless and I hated it. Though that was a nice (brief) moment between Jaime and his dneice (whose name I don't recall).

Still don't care about Dany all that much but can't wait to see what Tyrion and Varys get up to. Don't really care about Greyworm and Missandei do. They bore me. Though, the dragon CGI looks great as long as people are not interacting with it.

Arya, dayum! She stabbed the fuck out of that dude. No idea what is going on with the blind thing.

JON SNOW!!! Why? I don't understand what the Night's watch has to gain from killing him? DO THEY NOT UNDERSTAND UNDEAD ARMY HEADING THEIR WAY? Bah, why are there not video cameras in Westeros? Though, I do think Melisandre is going to do something to bring him back. I guess the show has completely caught up with the books now, so we must all wait.

reminder that fire god magic is going to turn out to be just as evil as ice god magic, reminder that it's going to be the whole twist of the series and it's actually some third magical force (aligned with the old gods) that's going to save everything

Yeah, I sort of feel similarly. I'll probably still watch, but I'm nowhere as interested as I once was.

I'd pick up the books if TWOW had a concrete release date. I just don't want to get super into them and wait god knows how long for the series to be finished. If it even does.

...huh. That's a very surprising reaction, to me. I was thinking that the writing and plotting have been really good this season, the last two episodes in particular.

Yeah, Jon isn't going to stay dead guys. In the books there are a thousand thousand mentions of fire magic bringing people back from the dead (even two main characters!) so Jon is just going to be revived by Melisandre.

Most likely. We all know that GRRM would never kill off his precious Snowflake.

The finale was absolutely terrible. And I was actually enjoying this season, even with all of its flaws.

The lack of a big battle between Stannis and the Boltons was a missed opportunity and Melisandre just abandoned him so easily.

Sansa didn't get to do anything and barely even appeared. I was hoping for her to do more to escape and maybe team up with Brienne.

The Dorne plot was just pointless.

I'be been enjoying Dany's plots this whole season though, so I'm interested in what happens next season with her. I'm also interested in seeing what goes on with Jorah and Darrio, Tyrion, Varys, Grey Worm and Missandei.

Jon isn't dead. He's coming back. And hopefully next season, we will get more Night's King action. The last twenty minutes of Hardhome were the best of this season imo. And I want to know what the fuck that guy is up to.

Pretty much all this. We spent an entire season with Stannis and Davos in the snow and building up to a battle (plus the lead ups from last season), and then nope. One minute and everyone's dead. Like, I understand the showrunners REALLY wanted to destroy Stannis the Mannis, but that was excessive character assassination even for them.

I guess the one thing it did was give Sansa enough open room to escape? But even then she didn't take charge of anything. Theon saved her, first by killing Miranda, and then essentially pulling a Doctor by grabbing her hand and yelling "run!"

So disappointed by Dorne. Soooo disappointed.

What happened to "we don't hurt little girls in Dorne?" What happened to the Ellaria who understood how the deadly game of revenge worked and how no amount of violence would bring Oberyn back? What happened to basic common sense of, I don't know, NOT PUTTING YOUR CROWN PRINCE ON A SHIP WITH THE ENEMY AND THEN KILLING THEIR DAUGHTER?

Like you, I did enjoy the Dany plots. Fast forwarding that whole thing and getting Tyrion to Mereen midseason was by far the best change they made.

Uh, well, the person who claimed "we don't hurt little girls in Dorne" wasn't the one who hurt Myrcella, was it? And Ellaria (obviously) never cared that revenge on the Lannisters wouldn't bring Oberyn back. Plus, I doubt she cares much about what happens to Trystane; it's all about Oberyn for her.

I'm tin hatting the shit out of Jon's 'death'.

GRRM was amused that people thought he was 100% dead at the time of the book's release and even said “Oh, you think he’s dead, do you?”.

Melisandre shows up a few hours before his death and her religious abilities work through the blood of kings. We saw this happen during a fight with the Brotherhood Without Banners.

Jon was constantly fighting against the need to do right (stay at the Night's Watch) and the want to fight (leave for the North). Jon's 'death' will free him from the Night's Watch to leave for the North.
