Inspired by #6 - Vagina question

(Anonymous) 2015-06-15 11:38 pm (UTC)(link)
TMI ahead

I swear I'm not tryna be creepy, I'm just genuinely curious. How many vagina-havers on F!S can reach orgasm just by being penetrated? Because for me, while I like penetration, I definitely need some focus on my clitoris or some intese fingering before/after in order to get off. It's not really a problem obvs, but you always see women come all over the place (in porn, but also romance novels etc.) just from p in v (or dildo in v or whatever), and I always wondered...is it really that common? Because I know from conversations with friends that a lot of peope rely on clitoral stimulation and other techniques. So is this merely a cliche or does this happen more often than I think?

I rarely orgasm from penetration. Clit is where it is at. Reach the big O much faster WITHOUT penetration tbh.

PS: Inspired by #6 because at some point, I realized that some of my fascination with slash came from the fact that I was always a little jealous of dudes because they seemingly come so easily. I mean most of it comes from the fact that I'm just attracted to dudes, but yeah.

I can, but it has to be extremely vigorous penetration and it generally takes long enough that I get kind of bored with it because I'm impatient (admittedly though, the pay off is pretty good. Every once in a while I get in the mood for it though

This is similar to my experience lol

I can, but it takes longer to reach an orgasm and it isn't always as intense as with outside stimulation.

(Anonymous) 2015-06-15 11:54 pm (UTC)(link)
I've never had an orgasm just from penetration. There's got to be other kind of stimulation (whether it's clitoral or another erroneous zone tends to be irrelevant) or I'm more awkward and uncomfortable than I already tend to be in sexual situations.

there have actually been several studies done about this, and some of them claim that around 80% of women have difficulty reaching an orgasm solely with vaginal penetration. I'm guessing that number isn't completely accurate or anything, but it wouldn't surprise me if it reflected the experiences of the majority of women. I can orgasm form penetration alone but adding clitoral stimulation just makes it a million times easier

I can, but I can say it's much, much easier for me to do so in cowgirl. In other positions, I sometimes don't orgasm at all, but I'm always guaranteed to get there if I'm on top.

Same. It's a lot easier for me to get the right angle on top

After reading other responses, I wanted to add (it was too late for me to edit): I actually orgasm easier and more quickly from PIV via cowgirl than from anything else, including direct clitoral stimulation. For this reason, I think I'm probably a pretty significant outlier.

if you are then so am I. Riding on top I can get there in five minutes, and it's usually a pretty good orgasm. not the most mind-blowing ever, but still pretty good.

I've never hit orgasm and I mostly go for the clit.

Hey, this is F!S. Nothing creepy about asking this kind of question here.

It sounds like I'm a little different from others below. Yes, I can orgasm from penetration alone. To be honest, for me, the ones I have from penetration are deeper, and for lack of a better word, more satisfying to me than clitoral orgasms. Yes, a clitoral orgasm is sharper for me, and thus technically more intense by some standards, but a good penetration orgasm has me purring like a kitten for hours afterward instead of being "over" a clitoral one in less than five minutes.

TMI w00t!

I'm one of the anons above and this is my experience as well. Penetrative orgasms take a lot longer for me to achieve, which is why I often add in clitoral stimulation to hurry things along, but they're also much more likely to relieve my, well, horniness that clitoral orgasms are. Sometimes even if I have several clitoral orgasms in a short timespan, I don't feel any less aroused that when I started but one nice, deep penetration orgasm does the trick

It's kind of the same for me. PIV orgasms make me go all boneless and want to pass out. They effect my entire body in a way that clitoral orgasms, while nice, can't seem to match.

I only orgasm from penetration (dildo in vagina preferably... fingers aren't always enough), which has been a little weird in relationships I've had with women who haven't liked the idea of toys in the bedroom.

I always need clitoral stimulation, but I find if it's accompanied by penetration, I usually orgasm faster and harder. So, while I've tried for penetration-alone many times without success, penetration clearly still helps, for me.

I can. I actually need penetration. Clitoris stimulation alone doesn't seem to do it for me.

According to studies, the number of women who are able to orgasm from penetration alone are significantly lower than the number of women who can/do regularly.

The most quoted figures are something like 20% can/do and 80% can't/don't.

Science!

True. Although I also get annoyed when articles talk about it as if no woman can. There are still 20% of us who can. Basically, I'm sick of women being talked about as some hive of people who are all the same. How about individual men try to figure out what gets off the individual women they are with instead of assuming we are all the same.

Never have, and just cannot. It does nothing for me to *just* be penetrated and, frankly, if done too deeply or at the wrong angle, hurt like hell.

I really get tired of women in movies/tv/whatever having penetrative-only orgasms. Show some women with their fingers down there, please! Or a toy!

Re: Inspired by #6 - Vagina question

(Anonymous) 2015-06-16 03:50 am (UTC)(link)
I can't orgasm from penetration alone, but clitoral stimulation alone isn't as fun as both in combination. If I've gotten myself pretty close to the edge just using my clit, then penetration will finish me off no issue, though. And I really prefer having an orgasm involving penetration, since they hit me deeper, last longer, and are just overall a hell of a lot more satisfying.

I can depending on my mood or how well I've been 'prepped' aka oral or other stimulation. If i'm really into the guy then, yeah it's a lot better so I'd argue that a great deal of that kind of arousal is mental.

But I would say that I favor being penetrated as long as my partner knows what they are doing.
