Re: Inspired by #6 - Vagina question

According to studies, the number of women who are able to orgasm from penetration alone are significantly lower than the number of women who can/do regularly.

The most quoted figures are something like 20% can/do and 80% can't/don't.

Science!

True. Although I also get annoyed when articles talk about it as if no woman can. There are still 20% of us who can. Basically, I'm sick of women being talked about as some hive of people who are all the same. How about individual men try to figure out what gets off the individual women they are with instead of assuming we are all the same.

I was unaware that it was really a bad thing to declare that the majority of women aren't just going to get off by the magic of a prolonged dicking. When those studies were first being undertaken, that was the general assumption, and to the best of my (admittedly limited) understanding if a woman wasn't having orgasms she could look forward to either counselling or faking it.

Hell, there's still a lot of misinformation to that effect. I appreciate what you're saying, but when the prevailing notion of sex advice between men still amounts to "nail her until she likes it and if she still doesn't like it your dick doesn't work", then I think the message still deserves to be out there.

On the other hand it would be really, really nice to just take your approach. Hopefully in a better world with better sexual education that might actually happen someday.

Also true. I've found that the more considerate and experienced the guy is, the better this will be since he'll figure out what works on his own or with your feedback.

I wasn't claiming to be an authority, just sharing some pertinent information.

Don't really have time to dig up studies either, sorry.
