It is never too late to start gaming. (Just like it is never too late to decide to get into comics, or tv, or movies, or music, etc.) If you're interested and have the resources then you should give it a go!

Plus, a lot of the games you might've been interested in back then might be easily found and free or cheap now. (Either by ROMS, online shopping, etc.)

PC gaming is probably your cheapest bet, but there are certainly consoles out there with large collections as well. (Some of which are excellent.)

No pressure of course, but if the only thing stopping you is "you might be disappointed"...well, you might not! (And there's so many genres to choose from, so I imagine you can find something to suit your tastes.)
