I did not know Steve/Clint was a thing. I mean, I should have. Every possible pairing exists, but I just. . . never thought about it.

Maybe it's because they have more of a relationship in the comics or something? But it seems like everyone/Clint is a thing. A fragile-human-standing-next-to-gods-and-also-fucking-them thing, perhaps?

Clint/Steve is very a thing in the comics. He basically exists to give Captain America a hard time and keep him in check. Their banter is sometimes kind of flirtatious and I personally think that Clint definitely has a crush on him.

Trivia: in one pretty stupid plotline of the comics Captain America dies and Tony automatically chooses in his mind for Clint to be the next Captain America. He takes up the mantle but then puts it right back down within the same issue.

Also there are some pretty suggestive panels in this poorly drawn comic Hawkeye: Blindspot that seem to suggest something is going on between Clint and Tony too. The moral or the story is that you can ship anyone from Marvel with anyone else if you just believe.

The Avengers was never really a thing where I live while I was growing up (it was all Spiderman and X-men and DC heroes), so I've never actually read any Avengers comics (seems like American comics aren't avalible illegally online the way manga is, either). But just from reading about it, I kinda got the impression that Clint is the Lancer to Steve's Hero, and those kinds of relationships are usually ripe with all kinds of chemistry, so I'm not really surprised.

Also, I read a blog post where someone explained Avengers to a friend, and there was one comic page where Clint is kissing Loki who is transformed to look like Scarlet Witch, just to find out if it's really her or not, and the caption was "Hawkeye continues his mission to stick his dick in every person in the Marvel universe", or something. Next there was a comic page where Clint turns to Ant Man and says "God, I love you!", with the caption "MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!!!". So yeah, I can see how people are able to ship everything.

Btw, your icon reminds me that I have to buy the Hawkeye comic. It looks soooo good! (It also reminds me that I haven't had my morning coffee yet, and it's almost noon. Coffeeeeee...)
