It seems suspicious that someone would choose a misspelled version of Berkeley as their favorite destination given what happened after that. It only makes sense if it is anti-Irish anon.

The Irish were pretty annoying a few years back before their economy crashed, even to the point of trying to claim part of British Antarctic Territory and some of the Scottish Islands. Since the UK basically bailed Ireland out with a loan that is closer to a grant they've shut up though.

Eh, I don't know. The crunchy granola-ness of Berkeley is a bit too much for me.

This. I'm a screaming lefty and it's too much for me, lol.

Yep. I'm pretty liberal on social issues but I'm not particularly interested in the other baggage that comes with it in places like Berkeley. I'm not vegetarian/vegan and don't really care about making sure everything I consume is organic, I don't believe in woo woo nonsense like crystals or reiki, I don't think kombucha is a miracle cure all, I'm not scared of guns, I don't want to smoke any weed thanks, etc. etc.

I love Berkeley to visit, but I couldn't live there.

Eh, it's not so bad. TBH I'd probably live there, but my roommate went to school there so he's tired of it, and the commute into the city's better from Oakland, so whatup Lake Merritt basically.

This country is HUGE and diverse! It's impossible to pick one spot.

Chicago is my favorite place I've ever lived.

I've only been to Chicago's OHare airport. Some day I will go there for real and see a Cubs game and eat a chi-dog...someday...

I've only visited but it's one of my favorite cities, too.

I have liked both San Francisco and Chicago when I have visited. And basically all of Montana was amazingly beautiful while driving through.

oh, seconding all three of those. (I lived in Chicago for 15 years and I looooooved it. Yes, even shoveling snow.)
