Yeah, I had a Snape to my Neville, and while I'm sorry if her cruelty was caused by her sixth grade crush being murdered by a warlord, that doesn't excuse the shit she put me through.

So much this. I actually had a lot of bad teachers, but one teacher and my middle school guidance councilor were basically the female versions of Snape.

Yup. It was her and my middle school band teacher. They both decided they hated me. The band teacher because she and her husband were sitting in front of my family in church and he was basically groping her and my mother said something and somehow that translated to her hating me personally. No idea about the guidance councilor.

But yes, she was horrible. She actually told me I wouldn't amount to anything and that she'd be surprised if I graduated high school. This was even though I was smart and got good grades. Middle School was pretty much hell for me.
