I'm not sure if I want to see the new Disney movie because the trailer made me cry since it was reminding me so much of my depression suddenly getting worse a few years ago.

And I don't think I can ever read Kafka's Metamorphosis again even though I love Kafka. Spoiler coming up, if anyone cares. There's a common theory that Gregor was mentally ill and that's what everyone around him was reacting to rather than a literal transformation. The relief his family feels once he's dead and no longer a burden on them is one of the most crushing things I've ever read.

Sooner or later, all Kafka scholarship comes back to the Letter to His Father. The smaller you feel and the bigger your parents feel, the more natural your relationship to an insect. http://www.brainpickings.org/2015/03/05/franz-kafka-letter-father/
