Uh, you DO realize that secrets for fandoms you aren't interested in don't displace secrets for fandoms you are interested in, don't you?

Since you're not obligated to comment on each secret, the presence of secrets you are not interested in has absolutely nothing to do with the absence of secrets you are interested in -- that's the fault of lazy secret makers. In fact, the whole reason FS has so much more participation than most other comms on DW is precisely because it casts such a wide net that there's no need for every commenter to be aware of every fandom and every conversation happening on the post.

And as for older and obscure fandoms, really? F!S is possibly the best place on DW to give a shout-out about some old fandom, or some non-fandom-y movie, that doesn't have any active comms, and see if anyone out of the dozens of commenters goes "oh my god, you too? I thought I was the only one!" and allow them to talk to each other about that show/movie they thought they had no one to talk to about -- which is the entire reason fandom even exists in the first place.
